October 5, Go to Groton!

Tomorrow, October 5, is a national day of resistance to the radical right wing agenda of George W. Bush and his Republican followers. There are protests planned all across the country – including some near us – organized through the World Can’t Wait website.

I’ll working in Chicago tomorrow, so I’ll be attending the big protest in downtown Chicago from Grant Park to the Federal Plaza. Closer to Trumansburg, there’s a protest planned in Groton, in front of the post office and the Groton Hotel, from between 4:00 and 8:00 PM.

If you’re looking for a larger protest in the area to attend, try the one in Rochester at Noon in Washington Square Park, or the one in Syracuse at the intersection of Adams Street and Almond Street, also at Noon.
