Do-it-yourself Democracy

OK, I promise to start posting about flowers, not politics, real soon, but I just had to share this with any of you who have been voicing some criticisms about candidates here… or, just thinking some, or, just thinking you could do better. I was on-line looking at some stuff, when I discovered this link to “DFA Night School.” They are holding a nationwide conference-call (with downloadable power point presentation) on “how to run for local office.” Now, we party committee members of both parties are happy to help you with this, too– don’t think that I am suggesting that this is the only approach– but, I thought that this was an interesting option. You can check out what it is all about without tipping your hand to any neighbor who is likely to get over-enthusiastic, or suggest you might have to fence your goats better if you want to do that…

Here is the link. http://www.dfalink.com/event.php?id=18356 And, even if you are pretty sure you can’t even think about running, make sure that you GO VOTE tomorrow if you are a village resident. All democracy is do-it-yourself; definitely not a spectator sport.
