Finding Ulysses

Seen this afternoon, over the Save-A-Lot store here in Trumansburg, circling up into the air, was a group of turkey vultures. They are regarded as a sign of spring, arrived from the south just in time to feast on the flesh of animals that did not make it through the winter, revealed by the melting snow.

Given the local business climate at this time of year, it’s a good living.
