Impeachment activities Saturday in Ithaca involve Trumansburg and Ulysses imnpeachment petitions. And now for something COMPLETELY different….! Trumansburg is about more than a convoluted political maneuvering & contentious political bickering!  We’re going to have a skate park event this Saturday, April 28 from 2 until 7 pm.  The public is invited and we guarantee that it’s going to be well worth your effort to mosey [...] Last week, Mike Arcuri signed on as a co-sponsor to the Restoring the Constitution Act of 2007, H.R. 1415, which would undo most of the damage done by the Military Commissions Act. The stone wall gained height pretty quickly, and to my untrained eyes, it looks pretty good. It will be part of a Main Street playspace for children, with child-sized houses within good view of the creek Town of Ulysses Supervisor Doug Austic promised a meeting at which residents of Trumansburg would be allowed to speak. That meeting never took place. Was it a zombie thief who searched through unlocked cars in the village of Trumansburg, or just a burglar who didn’t know where to put his stash but next to the cemetery? A letter from Trumansburg Mayor Marty Petrovic explaining why he has appointed David Filiberto to be Village Trustee until the end of March 2008. It seems that everyone involved with the board has figured out, at least for the time being, that the best way to defuse opposition is to not be oppositional. A quick summary of tonight’s meeting of the Trumansburg Village Board of Trustees Will Marty Petrovic remain mayor? Will Marcia Horn be replaced? Will she wear purple again? Will the new board provide a more open and consistent structure for hearing from village residents in attendance? |
