Rordan Hart’s Good Idea
I’ve been away most of the last two weeks, doing research in Los Angeles, where the sun always shines through the smog, and Chicago, where the leaves are already out on the trees. I’d rather be outside in my back yard, though they say it’s raining in Trumansburg today.
I’m a bit homesick, so I peeped back in today, online, to try to see what’s been going on. I didn’t have much luck. Looking over at the village website, I found that the last board meeting for which there are minutes online is the meeting for February 12.
At the first meeting of the new board last month, Rordan Hart asked to be given responsibility for revamping the website. It’s a good idea, and I look forward to seeing what he proposes, especially in terms of the process for getting information online quickly and fully.
I wonder, as long as the website for the village is going to be redone, if there could be a method for gathering input from village residents – kind of a comprehensive plan for the village space online, just as is being done with the physical space for Trumansburg. It needs to be more of a brief process, of course, but I wonder what people would like to get out of the village web site, and their ideas for how it could be organized.
