Didn't know where to post this so I thought I would take a chance here. The village now has a new website that is up and running. www.trumansburg-ny.gov Hope everyone takes a look at it and tell the board members what you think.

Thanks for the warning, Louie... although I think it is usually spelled "tie dye" and is more an expression of colorful artistic sensibilities than a swimming death-wish.

Biggest GrassRoots difficulty associated with the rain seemed to be the muddy ruts in the off-site parking. With a bit of towing by Koskinen's and a bit of gravel-spreading on the roadways and straw-spreading on the walkways, things were in much better order there today than last night.

This does bring up the foregone local business opportunities associated with a rainy spell during GrassRoots. I keep thinking that there should be alternative activities (under cover) that folks could choose if it rains. Like, say, vintage movies at the Conservatory or a big poetry-read at Gimmee. I dunno. Me, I wanted to see a matinee of "Sicko" Thursday afternoon, but there was none to see in the whole county. Today, its dry again, and I'm enjoying my 17th GrassRoots, with a whole bunch of current and former locals, as well as all the visitors.
