Well for all of us that showed up for the street dance on Sept. 8th in Trumansburg,we know the street dance did not happen. Because whom ever put the street dance on, thought it might rain. Now one would think that it would have been advertised that it was canceled.
It did rain a bit very early in the day, though nothing threatening.
It is now Sept. 13th and today is the street dance. I have been told that the dance is today and if it rains it will be held at the Rongo. Wow Good backup plan!
Myself and about 10 other friends want to attend the street dance today, however none of of can find any information about the dance. Nothing in the Ithaca times, The Journal, Trumansburg chambers, etc. etc. We can not find anything anywhere!
We have called friends from T-Burg and they seem to not know anything about it other then that it is today. Whom ever has planned this event should really get some event planning under the belt! I am not a "real" event planner though I have planned many events and know that there is plenty of free listings in our local news papers as well as very inexpensive advertising on the radios and Penny savers. Get it together people!!!!

It's cool that we have this resource, but it's hardly serving the community. I'm happy to hear of any activity at all going on at the Conservatory. Too bad its usage doesn't go beyond arts classes and the occasional benefit. I'm beginning work to organize some nighttime events there this fall. Thinking low-key, but well-marketed music events combined with art shows, etc. all to benefit the Conservatory and help promote future endeavors. If anyone would like to help in this effort, email me at christopher.wofford@gmail.com

Note: I've had a little trouble getting these efforts off the ground due to the Ms. Calista Smith's lapse in business courtesy in giving callbacks, and general lack of available info on TCFA contacts. Website's even down. Maddening. TCFA is just a dusty old dinosaur as it is.
