Trumansburg Annexation Wins Auble Park Vote
Today was the voting day for residents of the Auble Manufactured Home Park that has been proposed for annexation into the Village of Trumansburg. Annexation has been approved by both the Ulysses Town Board and the Trumansburg Village Board of Trustees, and this vote among residents in the area of proposed annexation was the last hurdle.
Annexation won, with 18 votes in favor and 16 votes against.
Annexation of the Auble property doesn’t just put a final nail in the coffin of Water District 5. It buries it, and spits on the grave.
There is one more chance for Water District 5, however. Tomorrow is Halloween, and on that night, ill-advised multimillion dollar projects pushed by politicians using bad process have been known to come back from the dead, walking the streets, moaning, looking for just one more chance, if the lines can be redrawn in another way, to get state funding.
Beware, trick or treaters.

Note – there was a comment here by Barry Hayes, but it seems that he’s cut and pasted it multiple times, so that it appears after several articles. That’s not a topical response to the article at hand, so I’m allowing just one of these identical comments to stand. If people want to read it, they can go to:

and read it there.
As a general rule, repeatedly posting a comment over and over again is regarded as bad manners, Mr. Hayes.
er – where is the comment? this link forwards to a discussion with one post, and it’s by you.
Sorry, X. I copied the wrong link. Here it is:
