Finding Ulysses

Tomorrow, kindergarten through eighth grade won’t be open our schools, due to the need to grade standardized tests. So, for those of you with schedules that can work it in, it’s a great day to take your kids to the polls, and set an example of active citizenship for them to emulate when they come of age.

The Artisan Cafe seems designed in order to encourage people to eat, drink and act with reflection. Quotations on the balance between thought and action are spread across the walls, and a bookcase provides people with something meaty to go with their food. There’s a good children’s corner as well, which will be very much appreciated by those of us who have bred. Children’s books and an easel continue the theme of the combination of thinking and creation.

A Family Entertainment Complex is currently being planned for construction on Route 96, 7 miles north of Ithaca and 2 miles south of Trumansburg (to the south of Stover Lumber).
