The supposed monster of Cayuga Lake is most often given the name of Old Greeny, though someone who saw it back in 1979 called it Cayuga Katie. Most reports say that was the last sighting of the creature, thirty years ago.

It appears that designers in NYC have some appreciation for the fabric of the Trumansburg community, as well as the little houses we have down by the creek.

Some deer, and some small critters, seem to come that way, but most of all, the bank above the gorge seems to be visited by dogs with large paws.

The air is cool and crisp and cloudless. There is no moon in the sky. It’s a good night in Trumansburg to turn off the security lights, go out in the back yard, and look up at the Milky Way.
