May 1st will see Trumansburg’s first May Day 5k race.

This Saturday, February 12, from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 770 on Route 96 in Trumansburg, there will be a benefit to raise money for children’s cancer research. A magician and a raffle will be available at the Trumansburg Elementary PTO Make-It and Take-It Craft Day on December 11 starting at 10:45 in the morning.

A community forum on hydrofracturing – also known as fracking will come to Trumansburg on December 8. The forum will begin at 6:30 PM in the high school auditorium, and will include several speakers, including Trumansburg’s own Sandra Steingraber and a former Executive Vice President at Mobil Oil Corporation.

The going rate that Mike Arcuri has calculated for his upcoming gathering: 500 dollars to stand in line waiting to shake his hand, and 1,000 dollars if you want your photograph taken with him to make yourself look important.
