Wednesday night, the bison herd was spotted and photographed by Nancy Cusumano, who lives on Duboise Road. Apparently, the animals have been using the Black Diamond Trail to move in relative peace, up toward Trumansburg and back down toward Ithaca. Every Wednesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, until about the time the first frost comes, the Trumansburg Farmer’s Market will be there – just off Main Street to the north of the post office. It seems likely that the Town Board illegally adjourned the March 11 meeting, since the motion to adjourn made by Doug Austic, and seconded by Rod Ferrentino, was never voted on. After hearing the second to his motion to adjourn, Supervisor Austic, along with Trustee Ferrentino and clerk Marcia Georgia left the premises. While it is true that a motion to adjourn is not debatable, it does require a majority vote of the Town Board. This Sunday, there will be an event at the Ulysses Philomathic Library that you’ll want to be sure not to miss.
